Why We’re Different
Our coaches, safety before intensity, and knowledge. This is what separates us from other gyms in Rochester. Check out the coaches page. You will not find a group like this anywhere in the greater Rochester MN, area. We utilize a holistic approach that builds capacity in the ten recognized aspects of fitness – cardio respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, power, flexibility, speed, agility, coordination, balance, and accuracy. Our group provides the gym with a vast knowledge base in which to create great fitness and health. Our programming provides measurable results that can be sustained over a lifetime, and our instruction empowers our athletes to live healthy, active lifestyles. Our coaches are passionate practitioners of CrossFit. They practice what they preach.
The Philosophy of CrossFit Progression is simple: Fitness is a life-long commitment requiring continuous education and consistent devotion to improvement. It is easy to become bored and lazy, and individuals must fight through complacency while discovering new ways to constantly rejuvenate their pursuits in health and fitness. Crossfit Progression ignites this rediscovery for individuals by offering the opportunity to join not only a gym, but a community of fitness excellence. CrossFit progression believes that one of the greatest benefits of fitness is the opportunity to build relationships and network. As a result, we look to embrace a communal approach to fitness characterized by reciprocal relationships amongst members, coaches, health professionals, and the greater fitness community.
We use constantly varied, functional movements in a high intensity way that delivers dramatic fitness results for athletes of all levels of skill and experience:
- Constantly Varied:You will rarely do the same workout twice at CFP. By doing something different every time you work out you keep the body guessing and eliminate plateaus and boredom common in traditional programs. Certain “benchmark” workouts, however, are repeated every 2-3 months to measure performance increases.
- Functional movements:Our goal is to prepare our athletes for life’s obstacles. We do that by using training that mimics life – running, jumping, throwing, squatting, pulling, pushing.
- High intensity: Performing vigorous exercise in a high intensity way is the most effective way to elicit positive changes in performance and body composition. We do this by timing most of our workouts and completing them as fast as safely possible.
How it Works
Showing up for the workout is all that’s required, whether you’re using personal training or our group fitness classes. We provide programming and professional instruction that will safely and efficiently build your overall physical fitness. You’ll work harder than you’ve ever worked in your life, but you’ll have fun too, we promise!

Hi,
I’m thinking of relocating to the Rochester area, I am in a workout program right now that I love and it is one of my reasons I’m sad to leave because I have almost become addicted to it. We do Kickboxing, P90X, and weights and I’m trying to find something in the Rochester area that is comparable instead of just going to the gym. I also know that the cost is a big thing too, I would rather pay for a fitness program than a gym membership. Could you please send me some more information on this program. Thank you!
